MAC-IP binding allows us to reserve static IP assignment for a client. The maximum supported entries are 32 and this feature is applicable for Local DHCP Scope only.

  • Helps reserve IP address for specific client.
  • Reserving an IP address allows us to create policies in the firewall configuration, to prioritize the traffic.
How to configure the Mac-Ip Binding_1

Step 1 : Login to the Tacitine. (If you are configuring the Tacitine for the first time, the default Lan IP is and default username : admin & Password : admin99

Step 2 : Click the Configuration > Firewall /NAT >Mac-Ip Binding >Add

Step 3 : Specify the interface if you want mac and ip binding or select the ANY and mention the mac address and ip details

Step 4 : Navigate Setting/Exception > enable the service

Step 5 : After the enter the mac and ip list in the table if any user change the ip address in there system you can able to block  through Policy unmatched connection is Block Means entry detail not available in mac-ip binding internet access became block

Step 6 : Save > Restart Service
